"Zoua Zoua" seized in Maroua will be returned to owners - Prefect

The prefect of the Department of Diamaré, the region of the far North said the "zoua zoua" seized this week in Maroua will be returned to various owners after having been stored "outside built-up areas".

Headquarters 'Kuweit-City' in Maroua witnessed a fire incident on 10 November as a result of the mishandling of this fuel smuggled in from Nigeria.

However, the State will continue to let these people go about their activities because "the fuel operators in the sector can not cover the districts and villages of the region of the far North," noted Ewango Budu in the public press Friday.

Earlier this week, the administrative authorities in the Department of Diamaré experienced a significant seizure of "zoua zoua", fuel smuggled from Nigeria and used to refuel the local market of the North.
