The competition, which opened Monday in Yaounde, brought together 20 teams from the different formation centres in the city.
The event started Monday at the stadium of the National Company of Hydrocarbons (SNH) in Yaoundé. This was during the 15th tournament of Christmas "Semences Olympiques".
The 20 teams were divided into four categories, five in the minimal category and four in the cadets. They are derived from different training centres in the city of Yaoundé. They include, Olympic seed and Huberlo on behalf of Yaoundé I. Dream city, Milan and celtic Mbankolo representing the Borough of Yaoundé II. While Ceffem and As generation bear the banner of Yaoundé III.
The objective of this tournament, in the opinion of the Deputy Director General, Emmanuel Boteba Biyaka, is to make the children compete in order to assess their various levels and also prepare them for the spirit of competition. The purpose is to solve the problems of ages which is a problem in football circles. The final of the "Semences Olympiques" tournament is scheduled on December 27.
