ASEC confident of Garoua win

ASEC Mimosas coach Siaka Traoré says they can achieve victory against Coton Sport in Garoua on Saturday, in their matchday 4 clash of the CAF Confederation Cup.

With only two points under their belt halfway through the Group stage of the competition, the Ivoirians are left with no other choice than to claim the full points at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium to retain a chance of reaching the last four.

“We have seen them play; we will have a chance against this team. Anyway, in Cameroon we will play for the win as any other result will see us drop out of the race for a last four spot,” Traoré told African Football.com.

“We can achieve a feat. Coton are not superior to us. They beat us in Abidjan and we can achieve a similar result on their ground. We are going to push hard to make them give way.

“I believe that our determination will help us win the battle. ASEC play better on the road and we will prove it again in Garoua.”

The game will kick-off at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium at 17h30 CAT on Saturday.
