According to French newspaper L’Equipe, AZ Alkmaar have made an offer for Lorient striker Vincent Aboubakar.
The Cameroon international is the subject of interest from a lot of clubs around Europe, but AZ are said to have made a concrete offer to Lorient. The French club are said to wan’t €10 million for the 22-year-old, but may be forced to accept less.
Aboubakar scored 15 goals in 80 appearances for Valenciennes, before moving to Lorient in 2013, and in his first season with the club, the striker netted 11 times in 21 matches.
A 24 time international for Cameroon, Aboubakar was part of their World Cup squad this summer, and made two appearances, including a start against Brazil.
AZ Alkmaar are keen to add a striker to their squad this summer, with ADO Den Haag’s Mike van Duinen still believed to be their number one choice.
