Cameroonian striker Paul Alo’o Efoulo will join Al Sailiya for the 2016/2017 Qatar Stars League season, the club confirmed yesterday.
The contract was signed by the player under the presence of Abdullah Al Eida president of the club, as well as Faisal Al Marri who is part of the administrative team.
Efoulo is expected to formally bound with the team during the coming period as he will be added to the list of players at Al Sailiyah for the new season.
Paul Efoulo becomes the fourth international player to join the ranks of Sailiyah alongside Romanian Dragos Grigore, Bahrain’s Faouzi Aaish, and fellow Cameroonian Raoul Loe.
The new Sailiyah striker, 32, was born in the Cameroonian capital of Yaounde and has previously played for many clubs before moving to the Saudi league in 2013.
Abdullah Al Eida, president of Al Sailiya, said that the Cameroonian striker is a great asset to the team and will add to the line of attack and they are happy for signing him.
Efoulo said, “I extend deep gratitude to Abdullah Al Eida president of Saliyah Club for the hospitality since I arrived in Doha, which made me feel comfortable and left me with the most beautiful impressions of my upcoming career with this team.”
Efoulo added, “There is no doubt that I am proud to play in the Qatari league and join a great club like Saliyah, and I sensed the extent of the power and excitement enjoyed by the Qatari league. This is positive as well and therefore I am happy with this step taken by me for my football career. Especially as I was eager for a new professional challenge and I hope to meet the expectations of the officials of Saliyah who made it possible for me to get a new experience in my career.”
