The former international player who filed a complaint for defamation successfully won the case on Tuesday at the court of Douala-Bonanjo.

“I just see that people do not change. This Nzoke guy is a funambulist. He never respected the court same as he never respected me. Since he talked about me without any evidence. Besides not even having any evidence, he knew fully well he was lying.

And he continued to do so. He had the same behavior vis-à-vis the court playing harlequins. He was appearing in court 1/3 times his presence was needed. He was convicted, I could say the maximum sentence. It’s a very good thing.“

This is the reaction of Joseph Antoine Bell. The former goalkeeper of Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions just attended the last session of the trial that he filed against the named Samuel Nzoke since June 2015.

The one who presented himself as “sports analyst” in medias of Douala and Yaounde was sentenced this Tuesday, March 15, 2016, to a fine of one million CFA francs and to pay amounts which in total amounts to 5 million CFA francs.
They should repair the moral damage (4 million) and material (1 million) suffered. The sentence imposed on Samuel Nzoke punishes defamatory remarks on the person of Joseph-Antoine Bell.

Indeed since May 2015, he was accusing the former goalkeeper and captain of Olympique de Marseille to have received from the late Normalization Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation the sum of 50 million CFA francs to stop criticizing them.

Accusations that brought the Radio France International consultant to seize the court in June 2015. This Tuesday as several times during the trial, Nzoke was absent at the hearing. He has 10 days to appeal the sentence pronounced.
