Cameroon FA Calls-off Guatemala Friendly

Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT on Tuesday, May 20 cancelled the send-off match against Guatemala.

According to FECAFOOT, the match was cancelled due to some reasons pointed out by the Guatemala football federation.

However, it is said that another football federation has been contacted and negotiations are been made for another game to take place on June 7 in Yaoundé.

Also, Moldova are rumoured to be the lions probable opponents for the send-off game.

The friendly against Guatemala was supposed to be the last the Loins were to play in front of their homes fans at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium on June 7 before departing for Brazil.

Meanwhile, the Indomitable Lions began a training camp in Austria on Tuesday and play warm-up matches against Macedonia and Paraguay in Kufstein on May 26 and 29 respectively.

They also have a match against Germany in Monchengladbach on June 1.

Cameroon is in World Cup Group A with Brazil, Mexico and Croatia
