Cameroon coach prepares for Africa Cup with new team

Cameroon National Football Team head coach Finke Volker said on Tuesday his team will play their best in the upcoming African Cup to be hosted in Equatorial Guinea from Jan. 17 to Feb. 8.

Volker said in a press conference they are not ambitious to win the cup because his team is not the best among the 16 teams.

After the World Cup in Brazil last year, Cameroon National Football Team was reshuffled, almost all the players are new.

Volker said to put things worse, the team’s captain Stephane Mbia was injured last Saturday when he was playing for his club in Spain. But Volker hopes the team will play well and have a satisfied result.

2015 African Cup was shifted to Equatorial Guinea after Morocco withdrew from hosting it due to worries of Ebola epidemic.
