Could Arsenal be eyeing Samuel Eto’o?

Where will Cameroon International Samuel Eto’o terminate his football career?

This is the million dollar question on most lips and there have been varying reports suggesting the Chelsea Striker could prolong his one year contract with Chelsea or follow his son’s wish and move back to his former club, Mallorca.

Other media reports have even hinted of a possible move to the United States. But recently, Football Direct News reported Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is looking to bring in additional striking options and has perhaps wisely earmarked a move for soon to be out of contract Chelsea man Samuel Eto’o.

Can Eto’o beef up Arsenal’s attack? Analysts are affirmative arguing that the Chelsea Striker may have had an up and down campaign but his return of nine goals from 16 Premier League starts is decent enough, better still when you consider that total includes six that came against top opposition including Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Man United.

Eto’o has of course achieved great success in a career that has seen the Indomitable Lions captain bag 303 club career goals as well as a host of honours including four domestic titles and three Champions League triumphs.
