Effala Komguep did not attempt suicide -François Ngakam

Deputy President of the promoted club has accused the leaders of Canon of lying about the State of health of their recruit. He argued that the player is still under contract with his team.

The director of Ums de Loum rejected the allegations of Executive Director of Canon de Yaoundé, made last Saturday about the player Jean Effala Komguep.

Interviewed by Radio Equinoxe, Deputy President François Ngakam challenged the news of the attempted suicide of the player. "They are all lies”, he responded.

Canon leaders are simply trying to put pressure on us. Effala is at home in Yaounde. "

A leader of Union des mouvements sportifs (Ums) de Loum explained that Effala had gone to Yaoundé for the selection. He argues that the player who joined Canon de Yaoundé remains an Ums player".

He does not intend to give him away to join a big club in the capital. "He could have lended him to Canon but he says he cannot release a player in this manner. This is a player who has a contract with us. We will arrange between us, but they should not try out any dirty deals which will tarnish the image of out team", he denounced.
