Uganda's Cranes tactician Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has tipped Cameroon to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) and be a strong force during the tournament in Morocco.
“They, have had a total overhaul and it’s working for them. They young players who have been given a chance to play are proving a point,” said Sredojevic.
The Indomitable Lions are top of Group D in the qualifiers after a 2-0 away win over the Democratic Republic of Congo and a 4-1 humbling of Ivory Coast last week.
Uganda’s Coach told MTNFootball.com in an interview on Tuesday that it was a great move by the Cameroon technical bench to go for the younger players.
“Cameroon has lots of talent spread around Europe and back in their local leagues. They will be my team to watch at the 2015 Afcon because am sure they will qualify without any problem,” explained the coach.
Sredojevic’s team is also top of Group E after an away 1-all draw against Ghana and a 2-0 win against Guinea last week. However, the Coach said they should not be so taken up, but instead work hard to try and break the jinx after Uganda last qualified for Afcon in 1978.
