Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton are to go head-to-head for Queens Park Rangers midfielder Stephane Mbia in the summer, reports reveal.
They will be joined by Italian giants Inter Milan as they all look to snap up the Cameroon international at the end of the season, talkSport reports.
Mbia has been on loan at Spanish side Sevilla this season having been part of the QPR side that found themselves relegated from the Premier League last year.
TalkSport reports that Mbia is open to a move to a Champions League club if possible in the summer, but only if Sevilla turn down the opportunity to sign him on a permanent basis.
Liverpool are preparing for a Champions League campaign next season, their first for several years, whilst Everton hope they can overhaul Arsenal for a place in Europe’s elite competition.
Mbia has enjoyed his time with Sevilla as they march towards a top four finish having won 12 of their last 15 matches across all competitions.
