Cameroon striker, Benjamin Moukandjo is amongst the eleven shortlisted players in the race to succeed last year’s winner Ghanaian Andre Ayew.

Unveiled last April 1, Moukandjo, who plays for French club Lorient FC seems to be on a good path after earning 12 goals in 25 matches.

Sports pundits thinks, Benjamin Moukandjo will do better than his compatriots Nicolas Nkoulou, second in 2012 and 2013, and Henri Bedimo, 3rd in 2014.

His performance will have to convince the jury of 80 journalists following the French Football League through-out the season.

Since the inception of the award some seven years ago, no Cameroonian footballer has won this title.
