The Homologation and Disciplinary Committee of the Southwest Regional Bureau of FECAFOOT has warned the University of Buea Football Club, UBFC, Eyonde FC of Mbonge and EEMSA of Tiko for gross indiscipline.

The warning is contained in a report the Committee released after it met to homologate first round matches of the Southwest Regional Division II Championship.

In the report signed by the President of the Homologation and Disciplinary Committee, Barrister Henry Sumelong Awasume, yellow and red cards were used to determine the most indiscipline team in the Championship.

According to the rubrics, a yellow card was equivalent to a point, while a red card was two points. After these considerations, UBFC, Eyonde FC of Mbonge and EEMSA of Tiko emerged as most indiscipline teams in the League.

UBFC had a total of 17 yellow cards and a red card, while Eyonde FC had the same number of cards like UBFC and EEMSA recorded 12 yellow cards and three red cards in the first round.

During the first round, 291 yellow cards and 16 red cards were shown to players.
Tiko United Battles Relegation

After the first round, Mount Cameroon FC and Victoria United have all been in scintillating form. In Group A, Victoria United are trailing Maumu Youths FC on 15points

The two sides are the only unbeaten teams in the first round of the league. Both have played 7 games, recording four wins and three draws. The two goals superiority of Maumu Youths FC has given them an edge over Victoria United.

Meanwhile, Mount Cameroon FC tops Group B with 16 points. The team has played seven games, recording five victories and a draw.

On the other hand, former Elite One champions, Tiko United are battling for relegation. The team is on the 7th spot ahead of Njalla Quan 11. UBFC and Buea United are also stuck on the 5th and 6th positions respectively in the group.

Meanwhile, in Group C, newly promoted Catholic University Sports Academy, CUSSA and Bau Manibok FC have the same points. Both teams have recorded three victories, three draws, and one defeat each.

Statistics

Going by the decision of the Homologation and Disciplinary Committee, a total of 193 goals were scored in 84 games, making it an average of 2.3 goals per game. Eyonde FC has the best attack with 13 goals in seven games, while NQSA 11 has the worst attack with just a goal.

Best Stars, Maumu FC and Victoria United all boast of the best defence after conceding just four goals in seven games. Meanwhile, FUSSA of Limbe has the worst defensive record after conceding 17 goals in seven games.

After the round one, Edwin Mbong of Prisons FC, James Tanjong of Bau Manibok and George Esua of Continental FC are toping the goal chart with five goals each.
