The Ivory Coast and Cameroon are favorites - Titi Camara

The Guinean international and former national coach, former minister of sports was a guest at Guinéefoot. Asked whether the National Syli should fear her opponents, Titi Camara salutes the qualification of his own country and made the Ivory Coast and Cameroon, the main favorites in Pool D.

"I think all three teams are taken seriously. We have two globalists, the Ivory Coast and Cameroon are two great footballing nations. Cameroon has a team that is rebuilding and it beat the Ivory Coast during the playoffs. It proves that this team has regained momentum. The Ivory Coast, although the former including Didier Drogba and Didier Zokora withdrew, still a great team.

"To see them play individually in the European championships, I think they have experience in relation to the Guinean team. As for Mali who qualified but hardly did beat Algeria in the last game at home, it proves that this is a team to be taken seriously as well. We, we have a young team that has everything to prove. I think that Guinea has a great role to play.

"I will say that everything depends on the preparation and physical freshness of the players. To win a game, you have to be more determined than the opponent. On paper, the Ivory Coast and Cameroon are favorites. Guinea shall negotiate well the first match that will determine the rest of the competition."
