Senegal say they perform better when they are not rated as championship favourites for the Africa Cup of Nations and are more concerned about how they play than who they play, skipper Bouna Coundoul has said.
"We will take one game at a time. We are ready," Coundoul, goalkeeper of Cypriot side Ethnikos Achna FC, said.
"I don’t care who we are going to play, but the most important thing is how we play. Every time Senegal is called the favourire team, we tend not to do well but when we're not favourite, we perform," he said adding: "Everybody believes they're going win. There are sixteen teams here. We know what to do. We have one objective and that is to try to win. No game is won before being played so we will take one game at a time; first Ghana, then Algeria and South Africa."
"But we are very positive about qualifying from the group," he said.
