Yosa heads to Garoua for Day 7 clash

Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda travels to Garoua this Sunday to challenged serial league contender Coton Sport of Garoua at their Roumdé Adjia Stadium for the day 7 clash with top two places at stake.

It’s the first time the team president Yong Jack will be traveling to the north with a lot at stake since their ascension into the top flight some six years back.

They currently sit at second spot after 6 games on 12 points, three ahead of Coton sport on nine, though with a game in hand.

Deputy team coach, Jean Baptist Togue told Bamenda Online that their ambition this year is to pluck one of the four continental tickets available to Cameroonian clubs.

“I think this year between the four titles we need to have at least one, either we are amongst the first two or win the cup of Cameroon,” he said confidently.

Talking about their next obstacle, he said the team is taking the match as any other match but was quick to point out that the team is composed of very young players without any major experience except for the team captain Kongnyuy Jude.

He cited the exploit of Ngwatong Gerald who graduated from Ngoketunjia FC Ndop but was very instrumental in the team grappling three points against Dragon FC when he came in off the bench.

The team leaves Bamenda early Thursday by bus through Yaoundé where they would board a train for Ngaoundere before embarking on another bus Journey from Ngaundere to Garoua, a total distance of about 950 Km, in 3 days.

Yosa’s current league position and its current form have generated a lot of interest in the match across the entire region and beyond. The match will be covered live on one of the local Radio stations, Rush FM.

The radio also offers listeners across the globe the opportunity to follow the game live through live online streaming at http//beryl.streamguys.com:2240/rushfm.m3u as one of its promotion of the match.

Sunday’s match kicks off as from 3 pm local time that is 2 pm GMT.
