Kevin Mirallas has been impressed by the instant impact made by Samuel Eto'o at Goodison Park.

The three-times Champions League winner arrived at Everton last week and emerged from the bench to net against Chelsea on Saturday.

It was an eye-catching cameo from Cameroon's record goalscorer, with praise forthcoming from boss Roberto Martinez.

Mirallas admits he, too, is delighted with Eto'o's recruitment and believes his experience and eye for goal can aid the Blues' frontline.

He told evertontv: "Samuel is a great player. He has been at Barcelona and Inter Milan, so he has quality.

"He played 20 minutes and scored a nice header [against Chelsea].

"It's good for the players, especially Romelu and myself, that he is with us now."
