2015 Cycling Tour: Cameroonian in the lead

Kamzong Abossolo, a Cameroonian rider is leading the 12th edition of the cycling tour of Cameroon. The rider from SNH bike club has been leading in the race since the commencement of competition on Saturday March 14.

The SNH bike club leading delivered the first thrill of the race, by winning the inaugural stage between Yaoundé and Bafia.

The people of Bafia welcomed the famous young champion with jubilation as he was closely followed by Gérémie Francis Nzeke of the national team of Cameroon, for the second place, and Ojebode of the national team of Burkina Faso, in the third position.

Before embarking on the 121 kilometers, the 69 runners at the start of the race at the 20th May boulevard in Yaoundé, were lauded by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Adoum Garoua. The Minsep applauded the commitment of the Cameroon Cycling Federation, in the fight against Boko Haram.

A whole team, wearing the colours of the national flag, took part in this competition, under the name Kolofata bike club. The third phase of the competition is scheduled for today Monday between Foumban-Bafoussam-Bafoussam, 139 km.
