AFCON 2015: CAF’s Article 74…will it work?

Fulltyme.sportsblog.com takes a look at Group D which has seen all four group games ending in a stalemate at the 30th edition of the African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

As it stands, all four teams (Cameroon, Cote D’ivoire, Guinea and Mali) have two points apiece, scored and conceded same number of goals thus all four teams are level on points, goals scored and conceded.

According to the Confederation’s article 74:

In a case of equality between the two teams at the end of the group matches, the teams will be ranked according to the following criteria in the order listed below:

• The greatest number of points obtained in the match between the two teams concerned

• The Goal Difference in all group matches

The last round of matches for Group D will be honoured simultaneously on Wednesday, 28 2015 and if the trend continues, which two teams will secure quarter-final berths from Group D?
