Adoum Garoua promises subvention to sports federations

The Minister of Sports and Physical Education has not uttered a word in connection with "subsidy" to the local press, since the beginning of the current season to be more specific.

But on Thursday, May 7, 2015, Adoum Garoua has indeed promised that from this year, "the Ministry of Sports will subsidize national sports federations.

This double announcement was made at the launch of the third annual conference of central services, decentralized and attached to the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education.

The work which ended on Friday was placed under the theme: "Governance and effective administration of sport and physical education for emerging Cameroon” Since yesterday, therefore, the personnel of central services, decentralized and attached to the MINSEP exchanged through twenty themes and sub-themes on ways and means to consolidate the achievements of the Cameroonian sports movement.

The objective is to "harmonize the views and practices on the implementation of the national policy for Sport and Physical Education", we learned.

Major projects announced Cameroon prepares effectively for three major projects: the African Basketball lady 2015 African Cup of Nations (Can) 2016 female and male 2019. And there is also the National Football Academy (Anafoot) that must be implemented with the construction of the football High School, not to mention the detection indicator program and training of sports talents launched Wednesday.

The expected results of this Conference are many in particular, improving the performance of these actors; improving collaboration between public administration and said actors; and finally, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of public administration sub-sector.

Note that it has been 12 years since this annual conference was lastly held. The last edition was in 2003.
