Authorities reassure fitness of Lions after two fell ill

After their first night at the hotel Pulman in Abidjan, it has not gone easy for some players.

Benjamin Moukandjo and Enow Eyong came out of bed not feeling well. Around 10:30am on Tuesday, both players were taken to a Hospital centre in the Ivorian capital by the chief physician of the Cameroonian selection.

"They will carry out an MRI and do other tests. But I think it's nothing too serious" reassured Etienne Tamo, Member of the commission for international competitions at the Cameroonian football federation.

While the patients were taken to the hospital, Alphonse Tchami, former striker of the Indomitable Lions and current Team Manager of the selection and three other officials of the Cameroonian delegation, went to the headquarters of the federation of football for the technical meeting before match.

This will be an opportunity to meet the trio of Moroccan referees designated for this encounter and know the guidelines and the colors which the Lions will wear in their game against the Elephants of the Ivory Coast.
