Cameroon is in immersed social and political tension. In addition to the war against Boko Haram, is the indignation of the opposition to calls from militants of the CPDM for Biya candidacy in the next presidential election. Last Saturday Fécafoot announced the recruitment of Belgian coach Hugo Broos as head coach of the senior national football team which was like pouring petrol on fire.

According to Camerooninfo.net, the Cameroonian Head of State Paul Biya has asked to see more clearly details of the appointment of the Belgian as head of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. Mr Biya had already given his recommendation for the hiring of Alain Giresse and was surprised to hear the name of Hugo Broos. Reports say that Alain Giresse’s coming was finally rendered impossible because he is still under contract with the Eagles of Mali.

Thus, the prime minister has convened a meeting with Tombi A Roko, president of the Fécafoot tomorrow Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in his Office. It is expected that the Minister of Sports and Roger Milla who is belief to be the godfather of Hugo Broos will accompany TOMBI Roko.
A source at the star building, the Prime Ministers office hinted that ” Tombi who was still in Douala this Monday, February 15, 2016, was urgently recalled to Yaounde. Objective; finding means to calm the tension of the population.

The source continues I think the authorities are working on two fronts. Either to cancel the recruitment of Hugo Broos, whose employment contract is not yet signed, or organize a communication around the performance of new coach when he was a player and coach in Belgium. By every indication the Cameroonian hierarchy is not happy with the current situation around the national team”
