Chelsea linked with N’Koulou

Chelsea plan to table a bid for Marseille defender Nicolas N’Koulou, French newspaper L’Equipe has reported.

It is claimed that the Blues will look to sign the Cameroon international, 25, in a cut-price deal when the transfer window reopens in January. His Marseille contract expires next summer.

Marseille, it is claimed, will demand a fee of around £7.2m and would rather sell to an English club than one of their Ligue 1 rivals.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail say John Terry remains confident of securing a new contract at Chelsea.

Terry’s current deal expires at the end of the season and his recent omission from the side has led to speculation about the 34-year-old defender’s future.

The Mail say sources close to Terry have suggested he is not panicking about the situation after being left out in favour of Kurt Zouma.

And Italian media reports say QPR have reignited their interest in Ravel Morrison, having failed to agree a deal to sign him from Lazio during the recent transfer window.
