Cameroon have drawn South Africa, Ghana, and Algeria in the most difficult Group, Group B, for the ninth African Women’s Championship later this year.
Cameroon now face a herculean task of booking of the two qualification slots for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
South Africa were runners-up at the 2012 tournament but were beaten 1-0 by Ghana in May in a friendly.
Cameroon won bronze in Equatorial Guinea two years ago by edging Nigeria in the third/fourth playoff.
Group A consists of hosts, Namibia, Zambia, Nigeria and the Ivory Coast.
The draw for the eight-team tournament was held in the Namibian capital Windhoek on Saturday evening.
The tournament will be held from the 11th to 25th October and will serve as a continental qualifier for the 2015 Women's World Cup in Canada.
