Coton Sport to seal semifinal spot

Coton Sport host AC Léopards will be playing match day five of the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup in Group A, at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium. This is scheduled to kick-off on Saturday 4:30pm (CAT)in Garoua

The Cameroonians are topping the table on 10 points, five more than their opponents of the day who are lying in second place.

A win or a draw at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium will see the ‘Cotonculteurs’ secure a first place finish with one more game to go, while a home defeat to the Congolese giants will still send them to the last four of the tournament if AS Real Bamako don’t beat ASEC Mimosas in the other match of the Group.

Manager Didier Gomes Da Rosa’s team built up a lot of confidence over the last two weeks with four consecutive victories through all competitions, and is very likely to seal a continental semifinal for the second season in a row following its appearance at last year’s CAF Champions League last four battle.

AC Leopards will fight for their survival in the tournament, after suffering a shock 1-2 defeat in Dolisie at the hands of AS Real Bamako.

The ‘Fauves du Niari’ are only a point ahead of the Malians and need to bring back a positive result from Garoua to boost their chances of a last two finish in this Group A.
