DR Congo hold Cameroon

DR Congo snatched a late equaliser to draw 1-1 away to Cameroon on Wednesday in a pre-2015 Africa Cup friendly played in Yaounde.

Goals in each half from striker Franck Etoundi for Cameroon and winger Yannick Bolasie settled the contest at Stade Omnisport.

DR Congo even had the ball in the back of the net as early as the 19th minute of the first half through Dieumerci Mbokani but the Dynamos Kiev strikers’ effort was ruled-out for offside.

The FC Zurich striker then put Cameroon ahead in the 35th minute courtesy of an assisted from Eyong Enoh.

The Crystal Palace winger came off the bench to equalise for DR Congo four minutes deep into time added of the 90 minutes.

Wednesday’s game was Cameroon and DR Congo’s third meeting over the last five months after The Indomitable Lions picked up back-to-back victories against The Leopards in the 2015 Africa Cup Group D qualifiers winning 1-0 at home and 2-0 away in Kinshasa.
