Ethiopia coach happy with result against Cameroon

Ethiopia Walia Ibex coach Yohannes Sahle has described his side’s 0-0 draw with favourites Cameroon as a good result.

Sahle sought to explain that in the second match, the players played a more coordinated game without giving Cameroon too much respect as they did to DRC in their 3-0 loss.

"We played a more tactical and technical game against Cameroon and I am happy we still got a chance in the competition."

"Before the game I urged my players to focus on their strengths and give Cameroon a run for their money and I am glad they followed the instructions considering Cameroon came to the game as favourites after beating Angola in the opener," Sahle told supersport.com.

“We did not give Cameroon much do to play around with the ball and even though we did not get the three points that we had hoped for we came out with a valuable point."

Asked about his thoughts on their next game against Angola which is a do or die game Sahle responded in the affirmative.

"We know it will be a very tough game laced with a lot of implications mathematical as we are needed to score many goals while at the same time hoping DR Congo beat Cameroon but like I have earlier said we are going to fight until the last minute of the game without any fear," Sahle added.
