The Standards Committee has filed two appeals against Abdouraman Hamadou Babba and Antoine Essomba Eyenga.
What was still a rumor has been confirmed. The Standards Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation has gone to Court of Arbitration for Sports (TAS) in Lausanne.
A letter signed Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 and addressed to the Secretary General announced that Mathieu Reeb of TAS "has received two appeals filed by the Cameroon Football Federation against Mr. Hamadou Abdouraman Babba on one hand, and Mr. Antoine Essomba Eyenga on the other."
The document states that "arbitration proceedings will soon be implemented, and the parties will be informed directly by the Registry".
At the Cameroon Football Federation, an official said however that the only action by FECAFOOT with the TAS was a suspension of the decision of the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon which canceled the General meeting after they adopted the new regulations of the Federation.
Our source states that this action was taken a few days after the publication of this decision. Observers who believe that Fécafoot had to appeal wonder if it will be successful. They doubt that the applicants met the 21-day period allotted for this type of action.
