Fecafoot disqualifies four

The FECAFOOT normalisation committee headed by Joseph Owona has rejected the presidential candidature of Joseph Antoine-Bell, Penn Robert, Nyongha Jules Frederic and Atah Robert Bahazah.

This comes after the body revealed through a statement that the quartet did not comply with some sections of the its statutes in conjunction with section 10 of the electoral code.

Hence, the four were disqualified and only one candidate Tombi A Roko Siddiki left in the running for elections next week on Saturday.

He is set to replace Iya Mohammed who was charged with misappropriation of funds, whose removal from helm saw the country's administration ended in turmoil and a Fifa ban followed after.

Cameroon has qualified for the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

It remains to be seen if there will only be a sole candidate that will go unopposed when the process takes place despite backlash.
