On the agenda of the plenary of the Committee for Standardization of the Cameroon football Federation (Fecafoot) on Tuesday in Yaoundé, issues on the general assemblies in departmental and regional leagues, as well as the consolidation of the approach approved in the context of the electoral process were discussed.
Regarding the point on the general assemblies in departmental and regional leagues, the statutes were adopted in all leagues, according to Professor Adolphe Minkoa, president of the commission for the revision of the texts of Fecafoot. "The normative corpus is full. It is now possible to begin the electoral process in all serenity", said Adolphe Minkoa during a press briefing at the end of the work of the Committee.
The elections will thus take place from 13 to 23 October in County leagues, November 07 in ten regional leagues while the Fecafoot GA election is scheduled for Nov. 29.
The electoral colleges will consist of the representatives of clubs with regard to departmental leagues. Concerning the regional leagues, there will be representatives of the clubs as well as those of affiliated leagues.
According to Professor Adolphe Minkoa, taking into account the many associations of players who claim this legitimacy, a call for applications will be launched by the Committee of standardization of Fecafoot, to select the group that will represent the players.
Basically, the criteria of representativeness and compliance with the Act are part of those that will be used during the selection. The various associations are invited to apply to receive this approval. "The role of the standards Committee is to organize transparent elections on the basis of the texts known to all. The game is open, there is no collusion with any candidates", concludes Adolphe Minkoa.
