Fifa World Ranking: Algeria leads Africa, Cameroon up by 2

FIFA has announced on its website the monthly FIFA World Ranking, and for the fifth month in a raw, Algeria is leading Africa, and advancing steadily towards the top flight teams in the world reaching the 15th place worldwide, their highest ever ranking.

The Algerian dominance of African football at the national teams level came after a series of successful results, as the Algerians didn’t lose any game since their last heroic game in the round of 16 of the world cup in Brazil against the world champions Germany.

Algeria didn’t only prove that it has quality players, individually and collectively, but it is considered as the best team in Africa now by many specialists.

For the other African teams, Cote d’Ivoire is second, while Nigeria constinued drowning after the series of bad results in the AFCON 2015 qualifiers, while the Bafana Bafana have jumped 10 places to rank 12th in Africa and 57th in the world.

Togo are this month’s biggest movers, climbing a massive 73 places to enter the African Top 10, hitting the 52nd rank in the world
