Murtala in for suspended Pillars Cameroonian ace

Adamu Murtala will replace suspended Cameroonian, Joel Djondang, in the heart of the Pillars defence in Sunday’s Nigeria premier league match at Akwa United.

Ex-El Kanemi ace Djondang is serving out a one-match ban after he was booked in his team’s last league game.

Murtala will play alongside Reuben Ogbonnaya as Pillars aim for a rare away win.

Pillars will again be led by Rabiu Ali, who will play alongside Adamu Mohammed as strikers.

The others in the defence has goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai, who was outstanding in a Federation Cup game against Plateau United last week and fullbacks, Isaac Hele and Isaac Loute.

Shagari Mohammed, Ezekiel Mba and on-form Godspower Aneifiok are in midfield.

Pillars' next game is at home against high-riding Wikki Tourists.
