Samuel Eto’o joined Antalyaspor in July this year on a free transfer, and since his arrival at the club, the 34-year-old has been a great asset to the team.

Eto’o is currently the Super Lig’s highest goalscorer with 10 goals in 12 matches while he has also provided his teammates with two assists.

The Cameroonian was the talk of the town over the weekend for his impressive display against Galatasaray, in which he found the back of the net and set up a teammate in their 3-3 draw with the Turkish giants.

Eto’o’s assist at the weekend – he back-heeled the ball from outside of the box to find his teammate Mbilla Etame, who finished excellently – was hailed as a moment of genius by the Turkish press.

The forward had been heavily criticised in his spells at Chelsea, Everton and Sampdoria, with many believing that his best years were over.

Antalyaspor are in 10th position in the Super Lig and are reportedly in talks with Victor Valdes and Ronaldinho.
