Former Indomitable Lions players still in a tussle

According to Emmanuel Maboang Kessack, there are no possibilities of reconciliation with David Mayébi for the moment.

Speaking Tuesday on Radio Equinox, Douala, the ex striker of Canon de Yaoundé claimed that David Mayébi had never played in the national team of Cameroon, remarks which he has subsequently corrected when he was reached on phone Thursday morning.

“I said he was not international from the time I played', he corrected. The former footballer declared that there cannot be reconciled without David Mayébi providing explanations to the charges leveled against him. As soon as he answers the questions which were directed to him, then we can continue. If he does not respond it will be clear that there is no longer a sports movement", declared Maboang Kessack.

Contacted Thursday, David Mayébi initially refused to respond formally, but extended a telephone conversation by stating that he has "nothing to say” to Maboang. He also argued that the president of the Association, Indomitable Lions Forever (Alife) accused him without evidence and threatened him with a trial.

About his challenged international football status, the former member of Union de Douala said that he has "played two world cups".’
