Former Lions coach predicts team's chances at AFCON

Former coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon spoke on the chances of Cameroon at the prestigious African competition which starts in a few days in Equatorial Guinea.

Five days to the start of the African Cup of Nations scheduled in Equatorial Guinea, the technical people in football continue to comment on the chances of Cameroon. For Jules Frédéric Nyongha, the drive of the Indomitable Lions 'reside in enthusiasm and the absolute desire to achieve good results," explains the Cameroonian technician.

However, the brilliant performances recorded during the playoffs must not make them forget the lack of experience of Volker Finke. "It is clear that they lack experience at the top level. If they win the AFCON, it would be a very good thing but if they are unable to win it; so much the better, as it will help them to identify their limitations which they can focus on for a better reconstruction", analyzed the former coach.

For Etienne Tang, former coach and Assistant National Technical Director, there were notes of satisfaction when the two first friendly preparatory meetings against the DRC (1-1) and South Africa ended with a draw. "The two matches, were satisfactory despite the fact that we took a goal towards the end of the match."

Cameroon still has a last friendly match against FC Mounana, a first division Gabonese club.
