Galatasaray manager Cesare Prandelli has ruled out a move for Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o.
The Lions had been linked with the Cameroon international however, Prandelli has asked the board not the pursue the 33-year-old striker.
Prandelli also vetoed the moves for Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski, Portuguese international Hugo Almeida and Serdar Tasci.
"Almeida is a very good player but Prandelli doesn't want him," Aysal said.
"I also like Serdar Tasci but Prandelli isn't keen as he is too slow to fit into the managers plans."
Liverpool are reported to be in talks with Eto'o according to the Mirror.
Eto’o was linked with a move to Galatasaray earlier this summer and listed Turkey among one of six destinations he was thinking about moving to.
The 33 year old tweeted, "Italy? Spain? France? UK? Turkey? USA?????.”
Galatasaray have been looking for a big name to fill the shoes of Didier Drogba who left the club this summer.
Eto’o scored nine goals and made five assists in 21 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last season.
