An international symposium on Cameroonian sports opens today in Yaounde.
Organized by the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon (Cnosc), this meeting opens as a prelude to the Dixiades starting Wednesday in Yaoundé.
In two days, about 30 communications on sports in Cameroon in Africa and in the world will be presented to the public. Exhibitors panel consists of professors of Universities, the sports movement and civil society actors.
"Experts from the world will mingle with national institutions in order to reflect particularly on the Cameroonian sports market during these last 50 years. Indeed, the year 1964 marks the first participation of Cameroon at the Olympics," noted Emmanuel Abolo Biwole, Secretary general of Cnosc.
