League 1: Sixteen goals recorded on day one

Five victories, three draws and sixteen goals marked the first playing day of the Cameroon Professional League as teams took decisive postures in their various stadia across the national territory.

Newly promoted teams as well as old teams in the League one displayed their abilities even though some faltered on the way.

Dragon FC lost 1-2 to Union of Douala in one of the two matches programmed at the reunification stadium in Douala.

Astres of Douala recorded their first victory in the championship beating UMS of Loum 1-0.

In Bafia, one goal was just enough to give the Coton Boys a victory as Cosmos could not do anything.

Apejes of Mfou recorded three points without stress as they beat visiting New Stars 2-0 in Yaounde.

TKC of Yaoundé played a 0-0 tie in Yaounde while a similar score was recorded in Bafang against Unisport and newly promoted side Botafogo of Douala.
