Lion Blessé leads League One

They conserve a four-point lead despite pulling a one-all draw against Canon on Sunday.

Newly promoted Lion Blessé of Fotouni conserved their leadership on the league one championship despite playing a one-all draw against Canon Yaounde on the fifth day of play on Sunday. The draw was the first since the beginning of the championship as the club from the West Region totals 13 out of 15 possible points up to play already to maintain a four point lead at the helm of the classification table.

They are followed by Bamboutos of Mbouda who equally recorded a draw against New Star of Douala in a late Day four encounter. Yong Sports narrowly edged UMS of Loum 1-0 on the fifth day of play to move up to the third position with nine points. The defending champions, Coton Sport are in the fourth position with nine points equally.

Cosmos of Bafia despite a promising start in the African champion's league is waning at the bottom of the table where they occupy the 16th position with four points only. However, they have one delayed match to play owing to their involvement in the African champions' league. Unisport of Bafang butted out from the African confederations cup are not equally doing well in the national championship as they occupy the bottom but one position with four points but with a delayed match also in hand.

The Benjamin of the group is Njalla Quan Academy who survived relegation by a hair's breadth last year, again languishing in the relegation zone. However, with the championship just beginning, there is time for Njalla Quan to make amends. There is nothing to write home about in the middle of the table where teams like Dragon, Botafogo, and union criss-cross each other on the classification chart.
