The lionesses’ have started training ahead of the African Women Championship scheduled to take place in Namiba from October 11-25.
Organised by the Cameroon Football Federation, the external camp that started a week ago wraps-up tomorrow with a friendly match. Yesterday, the squad was divided into two groups, the old players played against the newcomers.
With their experience, the old players thrashed the new entrants 3-0 in a beautiful volley from Njoya Hajara and a double from Gabrielle Onguene.
The match played at the Amadou Ahidjo Stadium was a fun event. Coaches encouraged but critiqued players on their shortfalls to prepare them for more challenging encounters in the future.
After the friendly on Friday, the coach had to come up with a smaller group to intensify training during the second training camp.
Though the federation had put in their best to enable the team train, coaches maintain that there is still room for improvement.
