Lions captain, Stephane Mbia has said he would be operational for the African Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea.
Injured in club, there have been fears that the captain would not be able to make it, but on his Facebook page last nught Mbia has raised the hopes of his fans and Cameroonians.
“15 days of rest following my injury, but I will be operational for the Nations Cup, departure tomorrow to join teammates in camp”.
Mbia is already rolled out of the first game against Mali, as a result of the red card awarded during the Ivory Coast-Cameroon last qualifier game.
The FC Sevilla midfielder would be back for the second group game, thus, speculations that Alexandre Song could replace Mbia have been laid to rest.
The Lions arrived in camp yesterday and will hold a press conference before the training sessions.
