Mboma in Vancouver to encourage the Lionnesses

Former Cameroon International, Patrick Mboma, (African Player of the Year in 2000) who happened to be visiting Vancouver, found time to come around to encourage the Lionesses. It was a pleasant surprise for the girls who grabbed the opportunity to pose for pictures.

He watched the return match between the Lionesses and North Shore Girls Soccer Club in which the Lionesses won 6-2. Akaba Edoa opened scores early in the game, while Abena Therese and Sonkeng Ysis both scored a goal each in the second half.

Aboudi realized a hat trick scoring in both halves. Katelyn Erhardsen and Margaret Hadley scored for NSGSC as the team played better than during the 3-1 defeat in the away leg.

The team would train as usual tomorrow at the South Surrey Athletic Park. Ejangue Siliki Augustine Silvia and Zouga Francine arrived today in camp.
