Mountaineer is Queen of DIXIADE 2014

Mount Cameroon Race of Hope regular, Tata Carine has clinched three gold medals in this year’s national games DIXIADE to be named queen of the competition.

She completed 1500m, 5000m and 4x400m to mount the honorary podium as best female athlete. She is expected to shine during the next All Africa Games to be hosted in Congo.

As was with the 2012 edition in Douala, the Centre Region came out supreme winning 69 medals just ten short from last two years feat. With 36 gold, they placed themselves comfortably at the top spot.

The Littoral Region came second with 24 gold while the Far North emerged third with 7 gold medals. The Republic of Congo the best foreign delegation bagged home 5 gold medals on fourth spot.
