Ndamukong Suh Would Be Excellent Fit - Seattle Seahawks Rumors

For the last few years, the Seattle Seahawks have fielded the most dominant defense in the NFL. So how ridiculous would it be if the Seahawks signed Ndamukong Suh, one of the league’s most dominant defensive tackles, to join their band of big hitters?

It would be nuts, but it turns out the chances of it happening aren’t as crazy as you’d imagine.

According to Bleacher Reports’ Jason Cole, Suh has placed the Seahawks atop his wish list of potential suitors.

This, of course, assumes that the Detroit Lions allow him to hit free agency. The Lions have expressed interest in bringing Suh back to Detroit, but might not receive the same level of interest from him. He’s looking to get into a bigger market to help his brand, while also raking in the biggest amount of money possible.

That’s why the Seahawks might not be the most realistic option. Although they currently boast around $22 million in terms of cap space, they’re going to have to deal with giving Russell Wilson a new contract and the potential extension of Marshawn Lynch. Between those two deals, it’s going to be difficult for the Seahawks to save enough cap space to give Suh the type of money he wants.

Regardless, it certainly helps that they’re his top destination at this moment. He’s from the North West and obviously wouldn’t mind playing with an annual contender such as the Seahawks. It’s a “pipe dream” at this point, but you never know what will happen once the new league year opens on March 10.

Crazier things have happened before.
