A dinner-debate took place on Wednesday evening in Yaounde towards the preparation for one of the next cuts of the Africa Cup of nations.
This edition to be played in Cameroon is an opportunity to boost the activities of companies and accelerate growth, according to GICAM, organizer of the meeting where officials and private managers gathered to reflect on the best ways to take advantage of the event, while avoiding the Cameroon flaws in management.
The stakes for Cameroonian enterprises, according to GICAM, are, indeed an opportunity to acquire new skills in the construction industry particularly because it will create new jobs and increase tax revenues while reducing public expenditure in the preparations through the public-private partnership. Finally, it will help to train people on the use of equipment that AFCON will bring for rehabilitation.
The debates centered on four areas of interest. It was general issues of the upcoming AFCON and measures to facilitate the participation of enterprises in the preparation work and contribute to the acceleration of growth.
This subject include all the specific issue of the main sites that will be produced. Another particular theme is to: publicize Cameroon after having better equipped tourist infrastructure, so that tourism section will benefit in the wake of the AFCON. Finally, it is necessary to investigate the companies themselves, to endorse their operations in the markets towards this event.
