Professional Football League Stalemate Continues

The ongoing stand-off between Elite One and Elite Two club presidents and the president of the Professional League, General Pierre Semengue continue as efforts by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education to reconcile the belligerents have so far yielded no result.

After two days of consultations with the president of the Professional League, the president of the association of Elite club presidents, Onambele and the first vice president of FECAFOOT, Francis Mveng, neither party is willing to give in to the other.

On the contrary, the club presidents have instead hardened their stance, renewing the boycott of the championship until General Pierre Semengue either resigns or finishes his term of office which is expected to end on July 25th.
