Roko runs unopposed, uncertainty surrounds election

Despite the FECAFOOT normalization committee giving extra four days for candidates to complete their applications, Tombi Roko remains the sole candidate in the upcoming elections scheduled for Saturday.

Hence, ineligible quartet of Brigitte Mebande, Joseph Antoine Bell, Robert Pene, Jules Nyongha and Robert Atah won't be part of the electoral process.

However, in an interesting turn of events, a local website lions4life has reported that some parliamentarians have signed petition to stop the election in what fits government interference.

This comes days after the World government World governing football body wrote to remind them what the action amounts to in case of interference.

"About 200 parliamentarians have signed a petition asking that the electoral process at the Cameroon football Federation be suspended,"

"But, one of the major reasons they ask for the cancellation of the electoral process is linked to the absence of women from the regions to Fecafoot General Assembly."

With uncertainty surrounding the event, it remains unclear when Iya Mohamed replacement will be found.
