The Lionesses officially arrived in Vancouver for their first World Cup this afternoon from Surrey City where they have been training for the past two weeks.

After lunch, the team had its first training in the build up to the Fifa World Cup set to kick-off on June 6 at the Wolfson West turf.

Training this morning June 5 was set for 10:00 am, open to the press for 10 minutes while the afternoon is dedicated to meetings on refereeing and doping.

The ambiance ahead of the games is good. The coach has urged the players to be more concentrated telling them they can take centre stage in creating their history given that football jamborees like the World Cup are full of surprises.
