Tombi A Roko Sidiki heads to FIFA headquarters

After returning from Malabo in Equatorial Guinea where he led the Cameroonian delegation at the ceremony of the draw for the finals of AFCON 2015, Tombi A Roko, the secretary general of the Cameroon Football Federation has headed for Zurich, Switzerland.

If no official communication evokes the motivation of this expedition, it is believed that the patron of Cameroon Sports Administration will visit the headquarters of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) for a tete-a-tete with the General Secretary of the governing body of world football.

"This is a routine meeting that has nothing to do with the crisis in FECAFOOT. General Secretary of FIFA receives invitations as colleagues affiliated to FIFA for working sessions. I'm not telling you anything administratively, the general secretaries of national federations have direct contact with the General Secretary of FIFA," says a source at the FECAFOOT.

The meeting comes as the electoral process of FECAFOOT was suspended on November 28 by Fifa at the request of the Cameroonian government. This process will be restarted 28 February 2015 at the latest by the Standards Committee that manages the Cameroon football for 18 months. Tombi A Roko vies with five other candidates for nomination to succeed Iya Mohammed as President of FECAFOOT.
